Cancellation and Refund Policy
Version 2026-10 — published: 1 October 2026
Refunds are decided and paid by the organizer under the policy on its event page, with a guaranteed minimum and without prejudice to consumer rights.
Who decides refunds
You buy your ticket directly from the organizer, and the money goes to the organizer, not to OMA. That is why the organizer's refund policy, shown on the event page, governs your request, and the organizer decides and pays any refund.
The guaranteed minimum
Every organizer on TicketsNile commits that its policy refunds the ticket price, at a minimum, when:
- the event is cancelled;
- it is postponed by more than 90 days without an alternative date you accept;
- it differs materially from its published description;
- you are refused entry with a valid ticket for reasons of organisation, capacity or safety.
Your legal rights
- Neither the organizer's policy nor this page affects your rights under Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018, including the right to withdraw from a distance purchase, within the limits set by the law and its regulations.
- The organizer may not change its policy retroactively to your detriment after you have bought.
How to ask for a refund
- Read the refund policy on the event page.
- Contact the organizer using the details on the event page or in your confirmation email, and quote your order number.
- The organizer must reply within five working days.
- If approved, the money is returned to your original payment method through the organizer's payment provider. How long it takes depends on the provider and your bank.
If the event is cancelled or changed
The organizer must inform you immediately of any cancellation or change of date or venue, and update the event page. We may also contact you about it. Refunds remain the organizer's obligation.
What the platform does
- It lets the organizer cancel orders and refund them from its dashboard, through its own payment provider.
- It sends you the cancellation or refund notice from the organizer's email address.
- It invalidates cancelled tickets so they are not accepted at the gate.
OMA does not decide or pay refunds, because it does not hold ticket money.
If the organizer does not respond
If the organizer does not reply within five working days, contact us through the Report page or at info@oma.com.eg with your order number. We will pass your complaint to the organizer and follow it up, and we may stop sales of an event that attracts many serious complaints. You also keep the right to go to the Consumer Protection Agency.
